: You’ve
had feelings for your bestfriend Jimin for as long as you can remember, but you
always thought they were unreciprocated. What if it turned out they weren’t…?

note
. this is a
(sort of) remastered version of the same story I wrote for Kyungsoo here,
called Just Friends. Whenever I think of this story, I just see Jimin lmao, and
I couldn’t help myself but to rewrite it. For more information, read here.

“He should be here already,” you whined out to your friend
who was sitting next to you on the kitchen counter of whoever’s house party
this was, backs pressed against the doors of the cupboards.

“Maybe he got lost on the way, I heard he’s that stupid,” your friend replied, his
voice monotone as if he couldn’t be bothered to even speak.

You turned to him with a huff, but that huff trailed off as
you were met with his face and then you silently groaned. How after all these
years of knowing him, did he still have this effect on you?

His eyes were large and chocolatey brown and they crinkled
up into half-moons whenever he smiled at you, his eyelashes curling downwards,
thick and black. His nose fit his face perfectly, wide and flat, but small at
the same time …and don’t even get you started on his lips. Those lips were
enough to make any girl wonder. They
were pink and thick, his Cupid’s bow non-existent they were so plush. His smile
was your favourite though, it altered his whole face and made your heart sing, although
these days, you didn’t see him smile much. Maybe you had stopped making him
smile…

“Hey, don’t me mean!” You warned, remembering to speak, realising
you had been transfixed on his mouth and you averted your gaze to his eyes,
watching him roll them and scoff slightly, bringing his hand up to run through
his thick, dark hair, before it fell back down, framing his face like curtains.

“It’s true though, right?” He asked, his mouth tilting up on
one side. It was not what you were used to though, it wasn’t the smile you
loved, but ignoring the feeling of sadness that wasn’t that unexplainable, it was your turn to roll your eyes back at him,
bringing your arm up and pushing his shoulder with the palm of your hand.

“Jimin, be quiet,” you murmured, however, you couldn’t hide
your little smirk as you watched him laugh at your reaction. It was nice to see
him laugh, even if it was at the expense of someone else.
