Your heels
made faint sounds hitting against the pavement as you ran through the rain. You
ran around yet another corner and your heart slowed down as you finally saw
your destination in front of you.  The
sky was pitch-black and the only source of light was the weak street lights.
You had to be a fool to run out in the rain this late at night, but you had to
see him.

You stopped
in your steps in front of a door and pushed it open carefully. As it opened
loud music revealed itself, echoing from the inside. You slipped in through the
opening and the door closed itself behind you.

You looked
around in dimply lit apartment, searching for what you needed desperately. Him.

It was
eight months ago. He approached you at the most unlikely yet most likely of
places. It was a cold spring day and you were sitting in front of your laptop
at the local library. It was late and nearing closing time but you were
determined to stay in to the last minutes before closing. What you were doing
is off topic, but he was there that night.

You looked
at the time on your phone, ten minutes left. You decided to finally save and
close down whatever you were doing and turn off your laptop, placing it
together with your other things in your bag. You pulled on your coat and swung
your bag up on to your shoulder and made your way to the exit a level below.
Normally when you stayed this late you would be the last one out and had
thereby become a familiar face to the librarian. But this evening was
different.

As you
walked past the multiple shelves towards the stairs a man emerged just a short
distance in front of you from between one of the shelves. You didn’t pay a lot
of attention to him until the moment when you noticed something fall from him.
You quickly rushed to pick it up and ran up to him.

“Excuse me!
You dropped this!” You said, and held out the thin booklet you had picked up.
